3D Printed Parts and Files from MaxWaxPax
I will be creating more and more 3D-printed designs for the fi-8170 and other scanners. I will also be working on ideas for stands, displays, and other items. If you think of something you would like me to design, please let me know.
fi-8170 feeder arm V3 (fix for tab sticking) - 06/10/24
- Click here to purchase this item from us. If you wish to print the file, you can find all the printing information below.
- Click here to download the STL
- Note: The image is 10X the normal size. When printing, reduce to 1/10 or 10%.
- Note: The V3 has been updated to address a potential issue where the piece may stick to the plastic tab in the enclosure on the fi-8170.
- This fix works best with sleeved cards.
- You will need a pushpin or something similar to feed through the hole to keep this in place.
- Remove both original "feeder arms". Save them and the springs. You will use one spring for this print.
- Insert the new printed piece and use the push pin to anchor it. Close it up, and you are good to go.
