Find an auction & read the details

Open Auctions from the top menu to see everything up for bid. Each auction shows a status, the Current Bid (or Starting Bid before anyone has bid), how many bids there are, and a live countdown of the time left.

Scan the list, then open one

Watch the status on each card: Active is open for bidding now, Extended means it's in overtime, and Opens soon… is scheduled to start. Tap any auction to see full photos and details.

Anyone can look; sign in to bid. You can browse auctions freely. When you're signed in, the price, bid count, and bid buttons appear — logged-out visitors see a Login to Bid button instead.

Step 2

Place a bid

Bidding is one tap. You get three quick-bid buttons — each already filled in with a higher amount over the current bid — so you never have to type a number. Pick one, confirm, and you're in.

1

Tap a "Bid $X" button

The three buttons suggest a small step up over the current bid (for example, roughly +10%, +15%, and +20%, rounded to whole dollars — the exact amounts shown are just examples). During Extended Bidding, the steps are smaller so the finish stays close.

👆 One tap places your bid at that amount — no typing.

2

Confirm — then you'll see "Winning"

A quick confirm dialog appears so you never bid by accident. Tap Yes, place bid to lock it in. When you're the high bidder, the buttons turn green and read Winning — with a Show bid buttons anyway link if you'd like to raise your own bid.

On your own auction? You can't bid on a card you're selling — the button reads This Is Your Auction instead.

Step 3

Set an Auto-Bid (Max Bid) so you don't have to watch

Don't want to sit and refresh? Enter the most you're willing to pay in the Auto-Bid (Max Bid) card. The system bids for you — one increment at a time — only as high as it needs to keep you in front, up to your maximum.

1

Enter your max, then Set Max Bid

Type the highest amount you'd pay and tap Set Max Bid. The helper shows the Minimum you can enter (the next bid increment). Changed your mind? Cancel Max Bid turns it off any time.

🤖 Auto-Bid (Max Bid)

Enter your maximum bid amount. The system will automatically bid for you up to this limit.

$ 750 Set Max Bid

Minimum: $462 (next bid increment)

Once set, you'll see Cancel Max Bid and your remaining headroom — walk away and let it bid for you.

🔒

Your max stays private. No one — not the seller, not other bidders — can see your maximum. The system only bids as high as it must to keep you winning, so you often pay less than your max.

Tips & common questions

Bid early, or set a maxSet a Max Bid up front and let the system compete for you — no need to watch the clock.
Watch for Extended BiddingLate bids can push an auction into overtime, so a "closing" card may still have life in it.
Green means you're aheadWhen the buttons read Winning in green, you're the current high bidder — no action needed.
Your max is your ceiling, not your priceAuto-Bid raises you one step at a time, so you often win below the maximum you set.
What is Extended Bidding?
Extended Bidding is overtime. If a bid lands in the final moments, the timer resets so everyone gets a fair chance to respond — you'll see "Extended Bidding! Timer resets on each bid." The auction keeps going until the bids stop, then closes.
What happens if I get outbid?
Someone bidding higher takes the lead and your green Winning banner goes back to bid buttons. If you set a Max Bid, the system automatically re-bids for you up to your limit. To be notified the moment you're outbid, add the auction to your Watchlist — see the Watchlist & alerts guide.
Is my Max Bid visible to other bidders?
No. Your maximum is completely private. It's only used behind the scenes to bid up to that amount on your behalf — no one can see the number you entered.
Can I cancel a bid?
A placed bid is a real commitment and can't be taken back — that's why we show the Yes, place bid confirmation first. You can, however, turn off an Auto-Bid at any time with Cancel Max Bid; that simply stops future automatic bids.
Do I need an account to bid?
You can browse auctions without signing in, but bidding requires a signed-in member account. Logged-out visitors see a Login to Bid button.
