Build a precise eBay search for the exact card you're researching, verify the results look right, then generate a clean market report you can come back to any time.
An advanced tool for members with Market Engine access. If you don't see the eBay Market Data Engine in your Tools menu yet, no worries โ you can request access, and we'll get you set up.
Open the eBay Market Data Engine from the Tools menu. Start with your Search Keywords, then tighten it with the filters โ the more specific you are, the cleaner your report will be.
Enter Search Keywords (player, set, year), pick a Buying Format, and check Grading Services like PSA or BGS. Add Sport, Year, Grade, and a Min/Max Price range to keep out listings you don't want. Reusing this later? Name it under Save Search As.
More knobs when you need them. There are extra filters โ Team, Manufacturer, Series โ for the tricky cards. You don't have to fill everything in; use only what you need to isolate the card.
When you press Generate Link, the engine builds a precise eBay search from your criteria. Take a moment to open it and make sure the results are the card you meant โ it's the fastest way to catch a filter that's too loose or too tight.
You'll see a Link Generated! confirmation. Click Verify Results on eBay to view the live listings in a new tab. If they look right, come back and press Verify Now to move on.
Link Generated! Your eBay search is ready. Open it to make sure the listings match the card you're researching.
Why verify first? A quick look at the real eBay results tells you whether your filters are catching the right listings โ the correct player, grade, and year โ before you spend a report on them. Not right? Adjust a filter and generate the link again.
Once the results look right, confirm and let the engine do the work. Choose Yes, Start Report to run it, or No, Edit Criteria to go back and fine-tune. When it's done, the report lands in your Market Data Reports.
You'll get a short confirmation asking if the search looks good. Press Yes, Start Report and the engine builds your market report from the eBay data. Prefer to keep the same criteria for later? You can also use Request Report โ either way it's saved to your reports.
Where does it go? Your finished report appears in your Market Data Reports, ready to open any time โ see the Market Data Reports guide for how to read and reuse it.
