Update your whole collection in a spreadsheet

Download your collection as a CSV, make bulk edits in Excel or Google Sheets β€” prices, notes, marking cards sold β€” then upload it back. Change dozens of cards at once instead of one at a time. It doubles as a clean backup of everything you own.

The big picture Β·

How it works: Export β†’ Edit β†’ Import

There's one golden rule that keeps your data safe: always export first. The exported file carries a hidden ID for every card, and the importer uses those IDs to match your edits back to the right cards. So the flow is always the same three steps:

πŸ“₯
1. ExportDownload your collection as a CSV
β†’
✏️
2. EditChange prices, notes, sold status
β†’
πŸ“€
3. ImportUpload it back & preview changes
⚠️

Why export first is required: importing only updates existing cards β€” it never creates new ones and never touches identity fields (player, year, grade). The only way to get the matching IDs is to export. If you've never exported, the import page will send you to export first.

Part 1

Export your collection

Start on your Dashboard and pick exactly which slice of your collection you want in the file.

Dashboard→ Collection→ Export
1

Choose what to include, then download

The export screen gives you six ready-made filters. All Active Items (Not Sold) is selected by default β€” perfect for a working file or a backup. Pick one and tap Generate and Download Export File.

Export Options

All Active Items (Not Sold) β€” everything in your collection not marked sold.
Sold Items Only β€” just the items you've marked sold.
All Items (Including Sold) β€” a complete export of active + sold.

Vaulted Items Only (Not Sold) β€” active items in the THN vault.
Unvaulted Items Only (Not Sold) β€” active items not in the vault.
Items Listed for P2P Only β€” items on the P2P Buyback marketplace.

πŸ’Ύ

Just want a backup? Export All Items (Including Sold) and save the file β€” no need to import it back. It's a full snapshot of your collection you can keep anywhere.

Part 2

Edit the file

Open the downloaded CSV in Excel, Numbers, or Google Sheets. You can change these fields β€” leave everything else exactly as it is (especially the ID column):

sale_priceYour asking price
purchase_priceWhat you paid
is_for_saleList it or not
is_publicShow on your public profile
description / user_notesYour text & private notes
purchase_dateWhen you acquired it
is_sold / sell_dateMark a card sold + when
sell_amountWhat it sold for
πŸ”’

Don't touch the ID column or identity fields. The collection_item_id is how your edits find the right card β€” don't change or delete it. Edits to protected fields like player, year, and grade are ignored on import to keep your data trustworthy.

Part 3

Import your changes back

Back on your Dashboard, choose Import. Upload the edited file and you'll get to preview every change before anything is saved.

Dashboard→ Collection→ Import
2

Upload your edited CSV

Choose your file and tap Upload and Preview Changes. Nothing is saved yet β€” you'll see a summary of exactly what will change first.

Review the preview, then confirm

The site shows you a before-and-after of every card it's about to update. Look it over, and only then confirm to apply the changes to your collection. If something looks off, you can back out β€” nothing was saved.

πŸ›‘οΈ Never exported? You'll see this first

If you go to Import without having exported, you'll get a β€œData Integrity Check” notice with an Export My Collection Now button. That's by design β€” it makes sure every update lands on the right card.

πŸ’»

Best done on a computer. You can download the export on your phone, but editing a spreadsheet with lots of rows is far easier on a laptop or desktop. Do the edit there, then upload.

Tips & common questions

Great for price refreshesRe-pricing 50 cards for a sale? Export, edit the price column, import. Minutes instead of an afternoon.
Nothing saves without your OKImport always previews first. You confirm before a single change is written.
It updates, never duplicatesBecause it matches by ID, re-importing the same file won't create copies of your cards.
Keep the file as a recordEach export is a dated snapshot β€” handy for insurance, taxes, or your own records.
Can I add brand-new cards with the import?
No β€” import only updates cards you already have. To add new cards, use the normal add-to-collection or scanning tools. The importer will skip any row that doesn't match an existing card ID.
Why won't it let me import?
You need to export at least once first. That's the β€œData Integrity Check” β€” it guarantees your file has the IDs needed to match each card. Export, edit that file, then come back to import.
I changed the player name / grade and it didn't update. Why?
Those are protected fields and are intentionally ignored on import, so a typo can't corrupt a card's identity. Only editable fields like price, notes, and sold status are applied.
Which export option should I pick?
All Active Items (Not Sold) for everyday editing, All Items (Including Sold) for a full backup, or one of the vault / P2P filters when you only want to work on that slice.
Will importing delete anything?
No. Import only changes the editable fields on matching cards β€” it never deletes cards. And you preview every change before it's saved.
