Holo Cards Coming Though Dark

Most of the hologram/reverse holo cards I scan on my Fujitsu 8170 are coming through 'dark' and unrecognizable.  Any suggestions on best settings to eliminate this problem?  Thank you.

I also found that lowering the DPI setting to 200 for chrome or holo cards helps also. I created several scanning profiles for holos and chrome cards as they scan differently. The link above is where I started and tweaked from there.
