Not Pulling Card Through

Anyone have any ideas when the scanner is not pulling the card through? It not grabbing it?? happening especially with non-sleeved card. Edit: I was using the 'tape fix,' I either I am using the wrong tape (don't think so) or the tape fix isn't going to work. I have ordered the part, but I will need help putting the part in (I have seen the video, but; I guess it is intimidating;ha)

I tried the tape fix as well and every time I put tape around the piece it is not grabbing the cards
