I fixed the freaking problem with this printer leaving a crease/mark/idention...
It is the damn spring behind where the big roller is supposed to be located. Flip that spring away from the black casing that holds the big roller and will stop applying pressure to the plastic pieces. This is what is causing the indention on the cards. Once that is flipped away, there is no more pressure on the cards to make the indention.
PROBLEM SOLVED.
I am in the process of getting this scanner. Has the problem come back after a few hundred scans.

Do you scan raw cards, penny sleeved, or top loaded?
We are wanting todo cheapy raw cards(bulk) at first.
All of the above. The raw & penny sleeved cards were getting the mark on them from the plastic piece
Perhaps it would be a good idea for you to post a picture of the change you made, along with the details, so it can be reviewed.

This was tested previously and did not resolve the issue that some people claimed it would. I am requesting the photos and the information to compare with other claims like this. It would be great if it were a solution, but based on our past testing and testing by other owners, tampering with the spring this way led to multiple issues, and I believe it also voided the warranty, though I cannot be 100% sure. If and when we hear back, it will help us get a clearer picture, but for now, I would not tamper with it until more information is presented.

Tried this out myself, works great. Only did multiple tests on raw cards, but over 200 scans (30 at a time) didn't have a single multi feed issue and 0 damage to cards. The plastic pieces individually still have small tension from those baby springs, so it prevents multifeeding without actually pressing into the cards. Amazing find! I'll see how it holds up long term, but looking good for now.
