Can the Ricoh f8170 be used with a 5 year old MacBook Air?

Yes, just download the drivers from Richo’s website.

The scanning software is not available for a Mac though, so you will have to use 3rd party software, or Apples built in scanning software. Not near as feature rich as the OEM scanning software.
