Damage on back of card fix

I ordered the plastic piece and installed it but ran into feed error after feed error. After 4 hours of trying to modify it slightly I gave up. But! There is hope. When I was re-installing the two original black plastic pieces (the ones with the tiny springs in the How to videos), I installed the thin black piece and didn't re-install the black square head piece. Since then, it has ran just fine and zero damage to the back of my cards.

Just thought I'd drop this bit in case it works for someone else. I notice everyone seems to have varying degrees of issues and some fixes work for some and not others. Maybe this will be the case for you. Either way I am grateful for your site and the videos as my cards were getting destroyed.

Thank you for letting me know this, but I am more concerned about the feed errors. This should not be happening. Can you tell me what you were scanning and if you were using Penny Sleeves?
